What The Floor Staff Department Does at Worldwide

The floor staff has the privilege of being a patient-focused department and ensuring our subjects have a safe, fun, and unique clinical trial experience. We comprise a few different departments but are united in one vision, providing an amazing experience for our subjects.

What the PRN Research Nutrition Tech does at Worldwide

A Research Nutrition Technician will prepare and serve food per research specifications, and food safety standards.  Maintains supplies, equipment, and records as indicated.  Interacts with research subjects and medical staff.  He/she is not responsible for supervising other staff.

What you will do
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Assembles patient trays, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Precise measuring and recording of certain research diets.
  • Supervise food quality and temperature adherence.
  • Will be cross-trained on Medical Assistant responsibilities (height, weight, etc)
  • Keeps record of what was delivered. Informs the person in charge of purchasing when inventory is low.

What you bring to the role

  • Knowledge of the basic principles of meal service and sanitation.
  • Knowledge of menu modification following patient diet prescription. 
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and service temperatures for food.
  • Read, speak, and write English.
  • Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Your experience

Required: High school diploma or GED with 6 months to 1 year of experience in food service.

Preferred: 6 months to 1 year experience directly related to nutrition and diet therapy and/or experience in patient-feeding food service establishment preferred.
