Position Title: PRN Screening Technician

What you will do

  • Conduct screening procedures in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and study protocol under the  supervision of the Screening Supervisor.
  • Review study protocol and screening procedures for assigned studies.
  • Once trained, conducts screening procedures in accordance with the study protocol requirements under the supervision of the Screening Supervisor: 
  • Collects and processes lab samples (blood, urine, and other body fluids)
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Vital signs
  • ECGs
  • Perform skin testing for allergens
  • Properly labels specimens and documents procedures as required.
  • Ensure electronic and paper source documents for the trial are accurate and complete according to study protocol.
  • Responsible for restocking supplies as necessary.

What you will bring to the role

  • Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills.  
  • Ability to perform technical and laboratory procedures; experience performing vital signs, ECGs and laboratory procedures.

Your experience

  • Graduate from an accredited Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant program or experience in a Phase I clinical environment.

Preferred:

  • At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.  Phlebotomy certification, Medical Assistant certification, or experience as a lab technician.
