Position Title: Manager, Content Campaigns

External Description:

SUMMARY: The Manager, Content Campaigns is responsible for development and execution of all build and sustain content campaigns for Late Phase business and build content campaigns for the Early Phase business unit.  This includes developing assets with the purpose generating leads and accelerating pipeline by educating the market and highlighting the company’s key services and therapeutic strengths, The Manager, Content Campaigns will not only curate content ideas from across the organization, but also will use creativity and business savvy to drive the development of unique and compelling marketing content.
Working closely with Director, Global Marketing Campaigns, and other executives throughout Worldwide Clinical Trials, this individual will write, edit and create, as well as manage approvals and creative development for, a wide range of campaigns including but not limited to: case studies, white papers, articles, blog posts, digital marketing materials (emails, social posts), videos, web content, and infographics. This individual is also responsible for adhering to corporate design and style guidelines, evaluating and implementing department processes and making improvements to improve effectiveness and efficiency, as well as reporting on the progress and success of content marketing programs.                  

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Plans and manages a content plan and calendar that supports marketing campaigns and marketing programs, while appealing to target audiences and furthering business goals.
  • Develops, implements clear and concise messaging and executes promotion for build and sustain programs for Late Phase BU and build programs for the Early Phase BU.
  • Collaborates with the broader marketing team to identify the ideal content channels to communicate with our various audiences, and develops and executes how we tell our story in each of these channels (setting the tone of the content in each channel), while leveraging all content pieces across multiple channels.
  • Collaborates with the digital team to ensure that content follows the company’s SEO strategy and that digital distribution platforms (email, social media, etc.) are aligned with our overall content strategy.
  • Conducts content audits, gap analyses and competitive assessments.
  • Develops/manages relationships with business units, senior management team and key customers to improve business understanding and proactively mine for content that aligns with business goals.
  • Follows brand and messaging guidelines to assure that all content is aligned with brand values and amplify brand equity.
  • Manages marketing resources, including the selection, development and management of agencies and freelancers, balancing the utilization of in-house and external resources.
  • Manages external design resources on all creative and branding initiatives to ensure a consistent message and visual identity across channels.
  • Supports the management of department expenditures to ensure expenses are in line with the budget and aligned to business objectives.
  • Supports the evaluation, implementation and continuous improvement of department processes to drive effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Contributes to the development of a measurement strategy for content marketing efforts. What content resonates with customers and prospects? What content converts the best? Where are our best opportunities for improvement?
  • Develops benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of content; recommends course corrections to content development in order to meet established goals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in content development and/or communications in a corporate or agency environment, with proven track record creating marketing content.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to gather information to develop story-telling that aligns with marketing strategy.
  • Experience managing agencies and consultants.
  • Project management skills to manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with principles of marketing and graphic design.
  • Strong strategic planning and analysis skills in marketing and content strategy.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, a positive attitude, a team player, and the ability to achieve set targets.
  • Detail- and service-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with a tenacious drive for results.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
