What the Information Technology Department does at Worldwide

 

The IT department is made up of seasoned professionals united in one common goal: to keep Worldwide’s technical infrastructure operating at the highest levels for our employees and our customers. We are a global team comprised of numerous professionals including cyber security, artificial intelligence, IT helpdesk, application support, and more. 

 

What you will do 

 

  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between various IT systems, applications, and data sources to ensure seamless data flow and process efficiency.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual processes, increase accuracy, and improve operational efficiency across various departments.
  • Work closely with IT and business teams to understand requirements, analyze business processes, and provide technical solutions for process improvement.
  • Utilize Azure cloud services, such as Azure Functions, Azure Databricks, and Azure API Management, to develop scalable and secure solutions.
  • Ensure that all integrations and automations adhere to regulatory compliance, data privacy, and security standards specific to the clinical research industry.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration and automation solutions to ensure peak performance and reliability. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in systems integration, automation, and cloud services to continuously improve our IT capabilities.

 

What you will bring to the role 

 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think analytically and strategically to overcome challenges.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards in the clinical research industry, such as GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ICH E6 R2, is highly desirable.

 

Your experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or in a related field with minimum of 3 years of experience in systems integration and automation, preferably in a clinical research or healthcare environment or high school diploma/GED with minimum of 6 years of experience in systems integration and automation, preferably in a clinical research
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, including Azure Functions, Azure Databricks, and Azure API Management.
  • Solid understanding of API integration, microservices architecture, and data exchange formats (e.g., JSON, XML).
