Position Title: Site Activation Performance Lead - Resourcing & Utilization

External Description:

SUMMARY: Site Activation Performance – Resourcing & Utilization Lead, is responsible for the administration of Site Activation (SA) project staffing.  This position will manage proper resourcing levels on the project level to achieve project service performance and support the Therapeutic Leads and Site Contracts Director in this effort.  In addition, they will help maintain effective personnel utilization and balance workloads for all budget role staff while also helping achieve departmental profit margin targets by managing aggregate FTE’s by budget role.  They will oversee the maintenance of SA’s portion of the company’s labor management system (Sciforma), including updates and reporting. The position will perform other duties as needed to support the Site Activation Performance group’s responsibilities.  The position may at times be required to also perform site support Site Activation project activities if qualified to do so.      
 
Position Reports to:      Associate Director, Site Activation Performance
 
Works closely with:       Therapeutic Leads and Site Contracts Director HR and Human Resources
 
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the project resourcing/utilization/realization data workflow process (via manual entry
    and/or database import) for Site Activation budget roles
  • Analyze project resourcing/utilization/realization data for the validity of input/output produced;
    prepare and present management report summaries
  • Manage personnel utilization and load balancing
  • Work with leadership in all applicable cross-functional teams to support the continuous
    development and improvement of resourcing/utilization/realization processes and to ensure
    that work is uniform, complete and managed appropriately
  • Initiate and/or represent the department in project scoping calls, data contributor status update
    meetings and intra/interdepartmental meetings
  • Provide day-to-day management of designated resourcing and utilization team which includes
    technical and strategic direction, team direction/motivation, and troubleshoot any challenges
    when targets are not being met
  • Understand project budgets and the company budget tool and how to translate that into baseline initial project staffing needs
  • Support administration of recruitment for new personnel requisitions by translating unfilled staffing demand into FTE requirements and supporting updates to the recruitment system (Great People)

  • Adaptability to effectively implement process changes – software/processes/workflows;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Able to work a flexible schedule

 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Understanding the principals of project resource and utilization management
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a team environment under time and resource pressure
  • 4 years scheduling admin, CRO experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in all MS-Office applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
