Position Title: Vice President, Global Site Management

Vice President, Global Site Management

 

SUMMARY: Responsible for providing Global management of assigned Directors, Clinical Operations Managers, Clinical Research Associates (CRA) and other personnel when applicable.  The VP, Clinical Operations Site Management will partner closely with senior leadership to support business strategy and goals.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide guidance and oversight to Clinical Operations Directors and Managers
  • Oversee workloads to ensure personnel are appropriately committed
  • Serve as primary resource for Clinical Operations personnel regarding company directives
  • Communicate regularly with Site Management personnel to provide guidance 
  • Ensure training and quality is provided and monitored for Site Management staff
  • Take responsibility for forecast and adherence to revenue and COS for the Site Management budget
  • Review and approve resource requisitions; work with Human Resources on resourcing
  • Work with Directors to balance out the supply and demand for Site Management
  • Work with Directors to manage CRA contractor hours and cost
  • Coordinate with other functional areas to ensure strong communication and collaboration
  • Act as intermediary for Clinical Operations Site Management with sponsors
  • Participate in sponsor teleconferences to spot check Site Management/sponsor interactions
  • Ensure sponsor issues are handled appropriately by Directors/Managers/LCRAs/CRAs
  • Represent Site Management in capability meetings with clients
  • Attend bid-defense meetings with sponsors as needed
  • Provide oversight and initiative for ongoing Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training
  • Participate in Leadership Committees
  • Contribute to new company initiatives that impact Clinical Operations
  • Conduct personnel performance evaluations

  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements, international regulatory requirements (when applicable) , ICH Guidelines and HIPAA (when applicable)
  • Proven ability to manage large global team
  • Understanding of standard operating procedures
  • Excellent experience/ knowledge of CRA responsibilities
  • Knowledge of therapeutic areas
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

 
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum four-year college curriculum with a major concentration in biological, physical, health, pharmacy and a minimum of fifteen years in clinical research working in the CRO or Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry and management experience and good understanding of GCP
  • Skill sets and proven performance equivalent to above
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Travel required
