What the Business Development Department does at Worldwide

The Business Development department is a group of highly dedicated individuals working as one to bring the best-in-class customer service to our clients. This department is committed to growing and building business longevity for phase I and Ib studies while bringing on new clients and growing relationships with current clients.

 

What the Business Development Lead Generation Manager does at Worldwide The Business Development Lead Generation Manager plays a critical role in helping the organization achieve our customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. As a Business Development Lead Generation Manager, your primary duty is to support generating new revenue for the organization through multiple sales initiatives including conducting thorough research into key accounts, identifying the appropriate contacts, and working with your Business Development Partner(s) to manage marketing outreaches, direct calls or mailers, or manage geography specific marketing lead campaigns.

What you will do

Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for seeking out, finding, and developing new business leads
  • Achieve quarterly and annual lead generation goals as outlined in sales incentive comp plan related to RFPs, Meetings, and RFPs converted to wins
  • Send prospective emails and help develop, manage, and implement contact lists
  • Partner with Business Development to tackle territory targets and goals and work closely with Marketing to understand and leverage their initiatives as well as perform market research
  • Work together with your Business Development Partner(s) to create a well-defined prospecting plan bespoke to each account and align on a cadence and strategy to support breaking into/growing key accounts

What you bring to the role

  • Exhibits an approachable demeanor, coupled with a high level of optimism and exceptional interpersonal skills, contributing to the cultivation of a robust team environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, stay organized, multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively and attend to administrative details in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
  • A proven ability to advise on market and client-specific considerations and provide insight on account-based marketing strategies accordingly
  • Deep experience with CRM and strive to leverage other selling technology and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly and concisely present information on calls and via email

Your experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4-year equivalent degree in life sciences or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing
  • CRO/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, including knowledge of Phase I-IV clinical research and development
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM and sales automation tools
