What the Medical Content Writer does at Worldwide
The Medical Content Writer will be responsible for writing and editing well-researched, accurate, and engaging content related to clinical research, medical trials, therapeutic areas, and healthcare advancements. Working closely with subject matter experts, the Medical Content Writer will develop written content, digital materials, and web-based resources. Through building relationships and collaborating with stakeholders and the marketing team, this role will develop ideas, research concepts, and create materials to communicate information to target audiences. The Medical Content Writer will combine
exceptional writing skills with a deep understanding of medical terminology and clinical research, helping contribute to enhancing Worldwide’s reputation and advance medical knowledge.
What you will do
- Produce well-researched, accurate, and engaging medical content related to clinical research, medical trials, and therapeutic areas.
- Create a wide range of content, including case studies, articles, blog posts, white papers, press releases, and marketing materials, adhering to industry standards and guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with content managers, communications team, and design team to determine most effective copy to meet goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and fact-checking of all medical content to maintain high levels of accuracy and credibility.
- Develop a complete understanding of the audience for which you write.
- Ensure brand voice is consistent and carried throughout all content.
- Stay updated with the latest medical research, clinical trial advancements, and industry trends to provide insightful and up-to-date content.
- Monitor developments in medical communication and digital marketing strategies to optimize content distribution and reach.
- May review, analyze, audit, and organize existing content to ensure quality and accuracy in all projects as well as compliance with organizational standards in support of business objectives.
- Work as a team with other copywriters, staying nimble to adjust for shifting workloads.
What you will bring to the role
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Current understanding of AP Style and grammatical trends
- Ability to hit deadlines, even when they’re tight
- Strong drive to grow, learn, and stay curious
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to convey complex medical information in an understandable and engaging manner
Your experience
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field highly desirable
- At least four years of experience with medical, science, or academic writing
- Proven experience as a content writer or copywriter, with portfolio; experience in life sciences or CRO space highly desirable but not required
