What the Manager, Leader of Sample Control does at Worldwide

Under minimal supervision, the Leader of Sample Control is responsible for maintaining secure and well-organized study sample storage and assisting in the quick retrieval of study samples. This individual works well as a team member and provides direct supervision to a small group of technicians. Acts as advisor to the unit and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.

  • Manage a team of technicians.
  • Receive, log-in, and store sample.
  • Interface with clients as needed.
  • Train employees.
  • Manage priorities for the group.

What you will bring to the role

  • Familiarity with the operations of all corporate divisions and GLP requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision and direct others.
  • Proficient in the use of Worldwide’s LIMS and appropriate databases.
  • Ability to follow established Worldwide policies and GLP regulations.
  • Ability to interact effectively with superiors, peers and other employees. 

Your experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science focus, 8 -12 years of related work experience. Two plus years of people management experience is preferred, in lieu of people management experience, the individual must demonstrate a strong ability to lead. Understand policies and procedures, financial and leadership principles, possesses excellent time management and project management skills and communicate effectively.
