Position Title: Solutions Architect, Clinical Systems

SUMMARY: Evaluates study requirements to design system architecture; recommends services and vendors to support the design; leads system demos and inputs into budgets. Participates in the award process by reconciling architecture and providing technical expertise in order to execute the vision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
• Evaluates the study requirements to develop the system architecture during the bidding phase
• Recommends solutions and vendors to implement the architecture vision
• Creates the study system data map as a visual to depict the flow of data between systems
• Inputs into RFI’s, RFP’s and budgets in line with system decisions
• Participates in Bid Defenses, acting as a subject matter expert regarding Clinical System full set of solutions
• Lead system demonstrations
• Support effective transition from award to Clinical Systems delivery team
• Supports study build by providing system expertise to execute architecture vision
• Supports protocol changes that lead to architecture changes
• Serve as technical experts in clinical systems
• Breakdown of Solution components and distribution of scope to study team members
• Collaborates with Solutions Analysts and Clinical Systems Project Managers
• Training and onboarding for non-technical staff to get overview of Clinical Systems available
• Escalates identified system and service gaps to management

REQUIREMENTS:
• Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent experience
• 7 or more years’ experience designing, implementing, or managing the use of multiple clinical systems.
• Contract Research Organization (CRO), Pharmaceutical or Clinic environment experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GxP and other regulations impacting the validation and use of clinical systems.
• Understanding of clinical trials, blinding, patient safety and data integrity
