Position Title: Senior Scientist, Instrument Operation

External Description:

Summary:  Worldwide Clinical Trials has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sr. Scientist with a background in bioanalytical techniques with the ability to work a 2nd or 3rd shift position. This individual is a key member of the instrument operations team with a strong knowledge of mass spectrometry and HPLC techniques.  They may assist other operation, validation, and method development staff with projects and instrument troubleshooting in addition to recommending and implementing laboratory improvements
 
Responsibilities:
 
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform LC-MS-MS analysis and troubleshooting of Sciex mass spectrometers (SCIEX 4500,5500,6500)
  • Understand and apply GLP guidelines in all aspects of troubleshooting
  • Monitor system performance to ensure the quality of results
  • Through and prompt documentation of all processes
  • Maintain and calibrate instruments and equipment as required
  • Assist method development and validation scientists with instrument hardware or method issues when needed
  • Ensuring quality of deliverables including data, reports, and electronic files
  • Communicating effectively internally and externally with all levels of personnel

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to understand complex written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to work well with a variety of laboratory personnel.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail. Must be familiar with all the required software.
  • Must be able to set up and operate instruments, LC pumps, and auto-samplers.
  • Experience in performing analytical tests preferred

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • MS + 2 to 4 years of experience or BS + 4 to 6 years of relative experience
