Position Title: Director, Global Digital Marketing & Social Media

External Description:

SUMMARY: As Director, Global Digital Marketing & Social Media you will be responsible for managing social and digital strategies, social media campaigns, and marketing technology across our businesses to drive demand/leads and increase brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have background in social media marketing, including managing revenue-based campaigns, digital marketing, online advertising, working with cross-functional teams to implement strategies, and demonstrating innovation in developing new social media marketing strategies and tactics. In this role, you will develop and maintain global social media properties, set the marketing strategic direction for social media, recommend improvements, develop qualitative measurement and testing, drive digital and social website traffic and maximize ROI from these initiatives. The position will develop agency relations to make sure all SEO, SEM, Paid Social, CRM interlock and digital initiatives are achieved.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee and manage all social properties, social development and deployment.
    • Build the Worldwide profile as a thought leader and influencer on social media by establishing a community of followers and engaging in conversations and relationships with other leaders
    • Refine vision and approach for social media marketing in partnership with company leaders.
    • Manage the creation and delivery of all digital assets (e.g. social communities, landing pages, microsites, mobile apps, videos, online tools) from requirement definition to build and testing.
    • Able to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, informed on areas including strategic digital partnerships /agencies, optimization, leading edge systems and tools, creative and content testing, and analytics.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning, creating and optimizing social media content across multiple platforms with proper reach and significant effectiveness.
      • Assist with content marketing strategy - create, syndicate and manage a range of knowledgeable and engaging new digital content ranging from thought leadership to video, webinars, infographics, and blogs.
  • Implement and drive social sharing program - VoiceStorm
    • Proven experience in integrating social-media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Slideshare, etc.
    • Significantly increase brand awareness and company followers through these social platforms
  • Lead development of digital strategies to drive online traffic (online display, paid search, retargeting, SEO, social media, mobile, etc.) with the purpose of lead generation and brand awareness.
    • Manage the entire lifecycle of paid search marketing strategy including determining appropriate marketing mix to best suit marketing strategies, designing landing page concepts, message creation, developing ad copy, continuous A/B testing, project management, and program analysis/measurement.
      • Understanding of Adwords & Bing paid search platforms required, including keyword development, account setup, ad creation, content network, match types, quality score, negative keywords, conversion rates, etc.
      • A/B & multivariate testing: sales funnel, landing page, and messaging optimizations
      • Analyze market research such as competitor analyses, segmentation, new market trends, etc., to inform search marketing program strategies
    • Implement best practices to drive lead conversion (consistently improve conversion rates/generate quality leads, Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) and overall profitability of online marketing efforts).
  • Process Improvement, program analysis, reporting and optimization – assist with developing operational excellence in our campaign deployment, marketing processes and metrics.​ Work with cross functional teams on process development and optimization, measurement and interlocks.
    • Measure marketing programs effectiveness and gather insights to drive future business and product planning and refine marketing strategies.
    • Proactively communicate program status, action items, results, and deliverables across marketing and sales.
    • Educate sales teams on campaigns and drive adoption.
  • Create and execute accurate budget estimates; work within assigned budgets and manage expenses monthly.

  • A passion for identifying effective and unique social media and digital ideas, themes and offers and transforming these ideas into executable programs that result in incremental leads/revenue opportunities and a significant lift in global brand awareness.
    • Experience and proficiency with digital marketing vehicles such paid social, inbound marketing, mobile as well as SEM/SEO, and variety of social networking platforms.
    • Proven track record of aligning Marketing with Sales with tangible success, i.e. tangible growth, lead and revenue generation achievement.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and teamwork skills; ability to learn quickly.

  • Strong comfort using CRM/marketing automation systems (understanding or previous experience with Salesforce and Marketo a definite plus); strong Word/Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Travel as required (approximately 20% depending on geography and market needs).

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor equivalent mandatory
    • Master equivalent preferable; MBA advantageous
  • Languages
    • Business level English mandatory
  • Experience (technical, commercial, industry / product / functional expertise, etc.)
    • 7+ years of digital marketing experience. At least 3 years of experience in a senior digital marketing role.
    • Proven track-record of delivering world-class, large-scale, performance critical digital projects on-time and on-budget.
    • Experience working with search agencies to drive creative innovation, excellence in execution and continuous improvement in search engine optimization.
      • Minimum 4 years’ experience in SEM/SEO, with proven ability to achieve top search engine rankings in a mid-sized or large enterprise.
    • Systems Skills Experience: Advanced computer skills - working knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS and Content Management System (CMS) platforms. Experience with Google Analytics, Ominture, Hootsuite, Radian6, Salseforce.com, and marketing automation (Marketo).
    • Metrics driven and results oriented with demonstrated analytical skills.
