Position Title: PRN Paramedic 1

External Description:

SUMMARY: The Paramedic works under the direction, guidance, and supervision of the Medical Director. The PRN Paramedic primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring sound medical decisions and judgments are conducted in the best interest of subjects, sponsor studies and Worldwide Clinical Trials; ensures studies are done on time and as directed in protocols/internal processes; assess patients’ general health and wellbeing; performing phlebotomy on study participants at timed intervals; obtaining ECGs, BMI and vital signs; ensures accurate/timely documentation is done on assignments.

To be eligible for this role, candidates must:

Texas Department of Health Paramedic certification or license

Course completion in a state-approved Paramedic training course

Active Texas Department of Health Certification (BLS and ACLS)

1+ year of working as a Paramedic, performing at the ALS skill level

1+ year working as a Lead Medic on an ALS unit for a 911 or private EMS agency is preferred and/or 3-5+ years of experience working in a clinical setting utilizing ALS skills, preferred

All PRN roles:

Are paid as hourly employees/W-2 and PRN employees are eligible to participate in our 401(k) plan after 1 year

Receive a work schedule a week prior to their scheduled shifts

Require a criminal (misdemeanor/felony) and educational background check and drug screening

Require the ability to work various shifts as needed

Require the commitment to complete a 5-week training period

Require up to 20 hours per week of availability (10 hours during the workweek & 10 during the weekend)
