Position Title: Senior Specialist, Accounts Payable

External Description:

We are seeking an Accounts Payable, Senior Specialist to join our team! 

The Senior Specialist Accounts prepares the full spectrum of the vendors/clients invoice processing and accounting function respectively, as well as helps maintaining and improving internal controls and processes for the group. The job holder may work within either the Accounts receivable or the Accounts Payable teams.

Responsibilities:

• Full scope of AP activities for 5 countries of LatAm Region, including:
• • Processing vendor invoices and credits into corporate ERP
  • Obtaining invoice approvals from appropriate stakeholders
  • Getting vendor invoices ready for payment
  • Supplier statements reconciliations including actioning on discrepancies
  • Resolving vendor queries
  • Participation in month end close process including cash disbursement recording
• Assist Regional Finance Coordinator in:
• • Harmonizing statutory accounting across LatAm countries
  • Managing vendor relationships to improve reporting timelines and level of details provided
  • Maintaining internal processes and workflows in accordance to corporate procedures
• Identify improvements to processes and systems as well as assistance in development and testing
• Assist as needed with annual corporate external audit and with statutory corporate tax filings
• Maintain relationships with internal departments in order to effectively communicate existing guidelines and controls
• Undertake any ad-hoc projects or other duties as may reasonably be required within the jobholder’s level in the organization

Requirements: 

• Degree in Business Administration or Accounting or equivalent
• At least 3 year of working experience in finance or accounting, ideally in Pharmaceutical/CRO industry
• Proficient English required due to international type of business
• Advanced knowledge in the use of financial software applications and databases. Ideal candidate will also have relevant ERP experience (Oracle/Netsuite)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Proficiency in all other MS-Office applications will be requisite for this position
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
